The Governor of Zamfara State, Dauda Lawal, has declared education as the most crucial foundation for the progress of Zamfara State.On this Wednesday, students from Leadsprings International Schools honored Governor Lawal at the government house in Gusau.According to a statement released in Gusau today by the Governor's spokesperson, Sulaiman Bala Idris, it was revealed that these children also presented seven significant requests to the Governor, which they hope to achieve in the future.Sulaiman Bala Idris stated that these aspirations for Zamfara's future include the state capital, Gusau; the health sector; Zamfara's aviation industry; technology; agriculture; and the economic sector, including industries and companies.In his speech to the children, Governor Dauda reaffirmed his commitment to reforming education in the state.The Governor stated, "Education is the number one priority of our government, followed by security. However, our education sector has not been performing well in the past. Zamfara has always been at the bottom in terms of education, which is why I declared a state of emergency in the education sector."The measures include hiring qualified teachers, providing buildings and sufficient materials, and introducing modern teaching methods."Our government will not tire of restructuring the education sector so that it meets the needs of our people.The Governor also expressed his pleasure with the quality of education these children demonstrated they had received at their school.
