The governor of Kano state, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has expressed his displeasure over the way the fasting food distribution program is being conducted in the state.
During a surprise visit to one of the food distribution centers in the Municipal Corporation, the governor expressed his displeasure with the food he saw being distributed in the center.
It was a meal with white rice and manja, where he used to ask the children who were distributed that "you get manja and not soup?".
The governor complained about the quantity and quality of food that he saw being distributed, which according to him was different from what his governor had approved and it was easy to distribute.
"This is nonsense," said the governor when he was talking to the cooks, asking them who gave them the opportunity to cook the food in this way.
Abba pulled the ears of the cooks and told them to tell those who gave them the opportunity to do the work, that he should not come back and find such food that he was not satisfied with.
